Hello all, iam making this index in hopes of getting people to learn cool stuff that they would never know, relating to 3DGS A5.

1. Is there a way to make windows from cars exported from 3DS MAX r3 breakable?

2. What does Assert mean?

3. Whats a portal

4. Is there a way for different sounds when bullets hit differen walls, metals , wood, etc.

5. Decals, how do you use them. When i shoot someone i want a bloodsprite to spray then blood to stay on wall, stumped.

3. Couldn't find any search results that I liked with "portal".
4. Yes, trace(vectorfrom,vectorto) would work very well for this. Look it up in the manual.
5. Look at the templates, they come with a script for bullet holes that spawn when you shoot a wall/floor/anylevelgeometry.

I'm going to assume you got an 'Assert' message while running a program (WED, MED, etc.). The assert is an error catching method that makes it easier to track down and fix errors. There should be some helpful text in the assert window (like "Divide by 0 error").

Would anyone be interested in a 3DGS model site?

Also i had an idea for a site called protogame, where people could put together game kits with 3DGS (starter kits) for a space game, fighet w/e. sorta a step up from workshops. For a easy start. Would this be a good idea?

And man Tool and APC are my favorite bands. They fucking rock i thought i was the only one who liked em!

I believe there is already a model site, but if you start one, or another person does, it would only add to the amount of free stuff available.

Glad to know you like Tool and APC, but please keep swearing to a minimum, children are on this forum too. Even if they know the words we want to set an example. You may start screaming now.
