payment: none. the game client will be released for free. the server application will be sold for about $25. you will participate in the sale and be credited. it's not "work for us", it's "work with us and be part of the team".
nevertheless, we seek for highly qualified and talented team members with ambitions who really want to finish a game.
requirements:programs to use/interface/formats: a6.50.2 (this is a must for [shader]programmers, all modellers may use the version they like)
experience: 2+ years with 3dgs, your preferred 3d application, WDL, shader code or 2d programme
portfolio required: if you have been around the forums for quite some time, no, otherwise yes, but portfolio does not have to be a whole folder, some pictures will be enough
about usgame description: CSiS stands for Combat Simulator System, in short it's sort of counter strike, team fortress and deathmatch in space. it's a pure-multiplayer (internet/LAN) game. players can assemble their ship, choose from a variety of parts, guns engines etc. so each ship will look individually. the battle will take place in open space, ion nebulas, close to planets, and near a subspace riff. the MP part is relized through populace, the main server runs with PHP.
we are a yet 2-man team, looking for reinforcements with this post. we cannot offer any payment yet, even if your name is frank_geppert or matt_aufderheide, we know that you are really worth it, we just have enough bills to pay for populace, shaders, tools etc.
we aim to produce one of the best-looking a6 games so far. the game is in development for over a year now on a hobby basis, but we feel we will never finish it if we don't get any help. so you can be sure there's alread lots done.
for example: multiplayer code including weapon functionality, buy menu, most of the models
we offer: 2 nice guys, teamwork, an FTP file server for the project, lots of ideas, and all the content we already produced.
