Hey everybody, for a new project I need a special camera system. The idear is, to have a camera isometric view, always facing the player. The camera should then be attached to a path and when the player moves the camera should follow him around but staying on the path. Hope this makes sence and that someone can show me how this can be done. Have anice day, Molotov.

I tried to create a camera system like that, but got stuck on how to move from one pathline to the other. How do you see the camera moving when the player aproaches a sharp corner in the path? You can't calculate the camera position when the player stands near 2 pathlines at equal distance. The camera would jump from one to the other very fast, or jump to the next pathline instantly, not moving smoothly. I don't have a clue of how to solve this :0.

(I call the line between two nodes a pathline.)

Hey Joozey, that's one of the problems I have and like you I have no idear how to solve it. For know I'm using a different camera but when I found a solution I will post it. Have a nice day, Molotov.
