D3D's right. The engine options should just say

WarriorsExtreme.wdl -nx 30

No spaces, and certainly none of those extreme.wdls at the end. I don't know how they got there, but I think they are part of your problem.
Almost there, I think!

EDIT: no spaces in the filename anyway. There should be spaces around the -nx.

Hi D3D !

Well, the "About WED" diologue box said that I have:

Game studio Trial 7.05 V6.835 (I just added this to my profile)

I have an Acer laptop (Centrino Duo) with Vista Home Premium. The laptop is a few months old. I am using 32 bit version of Vista.
As far as I know of, there are no problems with anything (I do not have that many games, anyway ) , and I do believe that the drivers are up to date.

I heard of the Vista Service Pack 1 but as far as I know, only evaluation copies are available. So no, I don't have the SP1.

Also, I tried deleting all the extras and spaces from the Run Options Diologue box. I see just the same errors.

I really don't know what's going on!

Thank you very much for your reply, D3D!

Installed Windows Vista 32bit Premium. DirectX 10 and WHQL 20 december NVIDIA drivers. Tried the Car demo just for fun and it runs great. So tell me how can I replicate your problem? With the trial installed on my computer WED about box displays: Trial 7.06 V6.84

Guess you could try to use the current trial version from the download page. Maybe your trial 7.05 V6.835 is bugged. Also doing this may void your trial period, so please think about this before you take the step!

Try looking at which script the level is running by default. Open up File>Map Properties and see if the correct file name is in the Script box.

I don't think this is a bug per se, just something that you did on accident that newbies like us haven't yet learned not to do...

The default script for the Car demo from A7 Trial located in the GStudio7/projects/carlevel directory is main.c. And the default level name is loop.wmb, but I have no problems running either the wmb file from WED or the lite-c script from SED. So again, tell me exactly your steps or upload a demo project that demonstrates the situation.

Remember that there might be some kind of bug in A7.05 V6.835 Trial version? I really can't tell because i'm using the current A7.06 V6.84 Trial from the Conitec download page to find out what could be your problem.

I was actually talking to Want_to_learn -- with 1289 posts I wouldn't dare call you a n00b

I was just saying a problem with his project settings is more likely than a bug in WED.

Hi Futurulus !

Well, I followed your instructions and yes, the script is Warriors Extreme.wdl.
This is the right script--- are spaces allowed for this name?

Thank you very much for replying, Futurulus !

Hi, D3D!

Well, I don't know whether I should go ahead and uninstall my trial (for the trial might become void, as you said). Maybe I will try it once my Trial expires .

Conitec must really be pushing out new versions every week or something . I just got the Trial about three weeks ago!

Maybe you can already kinda tell by the info that I gave you, but for keeping things clear, I have Direct X 10 (not 10.1).

By the way, what is WHQL?
Also, I don't have NVIDIA drivers. I have Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (whatever that means )

In truth, I just went to the Game studio trial download page ( http://server.conitec.net/down/gstudio_setup.exe ) and downloaded it. I dumped it onto my C drive. After that, I stumbled across the demo section and downloaded the Car Racer Demo onto my hard drive as well. It works great. I used SED and pulled up all the source code and it works fine.

What now?!?

Thanks very much for your reply, D3D!

Well, the Car Racer Demo works just fine! Everything works perfectly, and everything is just as you said it.

So, I guess there's nothing wrong with SED. Just WED that is creating a mystical problem(s).
Thanks very much for your reply, Futurulus!

PS, how do you insert a picture into the posts? This will make it easier to communicate as you experts (being very familiar with the interface) will sure be able to identify various windows if you could see them.
Thanks!

For images in your post just use ubb tags. If you look closely when you are creating a new post. You see Instand UBB Code below the text input, press on Image link and enter the location of the image. For ease you can use http://imageshack.us

At this point i'm sure it's not a SED/MED/WED problem. Maybe you should first try and follow some of the tutorials/workshops before you continue to create ExtremeWarriors? So that you learn how to create a world and how to use script.
