When I use "ent_getmesh(NULL, i, 0);" to get the mesh of the level, instead of returning 0 for an invalid mesh it crashes the entire engine

So I cannot loop through the entire levels mesh until there is an invalid one, the only way to do it is to look at how many level blocks are in WED, acknowledge the grouped mesh and calculate myself how many mesh there should be and input that into SED and compile... which is not right! I need to be able to tell dynamically.

Am I doing something wrong? I compile with "Create Meshes" on. Is there something else I am missing?
I am using A7.07 and Windows Vista Ultimate.

Anyone!? This function crashes the engine, "ent_getmesh(NULL, i, 0);" when i is not a valid mesh index, instead of returning NULL.

I gave this topic a boring title, and I ask my questions even more boring-ly. But this is a serious question... can anyone help?

Why does the engine crash instead of the function 'ent_getmesh' returning NULL, when you try to access an invalid mesh? I only ask you because the manual says that it should return NULL, but it only crashes.

You should have asked this question in a different forum like "Bug Hunt" or "Scripting", because asking Conitec makes not much sense, because they are most probably not in office these days!

Thanks for the reply. I will try again in a different forum in a week or so.
