Hello, the problem I'm having is quite weird. I have a .wav file, that I use as a background song, and I recently included an Options tab, so that the user can change the music's volume. But I found out, that my .wav file sounds the same from volume 20 to volume 100. It's like volume 20 is the maximum for this sound, because it only starts to change from volume 0 to volume 20!
And it is not a script problem, because I started the file with volume 20, then exited, and started it with volume 100 - still sounded the same.
I use snd_loop, to play the file and snd_tune, to change the volume. And also snd_tune, changes the volume in Window's mixer.exe, which seems strange!
What could be the problem?

Try a different format for the sound. See if that will make a difference since it's not a script problem. Or maybe see if it's a problem on a different computer too. I'd try everything I could think of and if it's not relative to one PC, check the script at every point where the volume could change. I had a similar problem where I had an if statement, that constantly changed the volume lower. Thus creating an effect that made it seem like it would cut out after turning it up louder at one point.

No, the script is OK. I found that it works on another computer, but I still can't find an explanation why it doesn't work on this particular PC.

I'd say try giving your sound drivers a reinstall. I had a problem with flash players having no sound and reinstalling my sound drivers fixed everything. Maybe the windows mixer is corrupted. See if you can somehow reinstall that. Not sure if that's possible to do or not. It's an idea though. As you can see I've had many sound issues myself.

OK, I guess I should try that. Nothing else has worked this far.
But it is weird, that my game can change the volume in the Windows Mixer, and not just the main volume, but the volume of CD Audio. Is that intentional in 3DGS or that shouldn't happen?
