Hi, I´m new to 3dgamestudio. I´ve recently worked my way through the house1-tutorial. Now I´m making a simular "world" on my own, and I keep running in to the same problem every time. The compile-time (build) takes an incredibly long time after a while with creating my level. It usually slows down on Shadows. I`m trying to fit the objects very well into eachother, makin no holes to the atmosphere outside and so on... this is very irritating, and I hope someone has an easy solution to my problem...

you can'T change that...calculating light-maps takes it time and to calculate a bsp-tree, too.

The only tip i can give you is to fit the blocks exactly together and don'T use GSC-subtract. Its an evil tool that will kill good compiler-times. Also for details use models and do not try to build them with levelblocks.

thanks. What is bsp-tree. I´ve used GSC-subtract quite a bit, so thats probably the problem then what about prefabs? would that be a model as you mention?
