Im sorry this is not really an 'advanced topic' but I tried posting it in the beginners section and nobodys advice worked so now im posting it here. I have a model made, and I am in the process of skinning it. But when I import the image into the med skinner it looks bad. The skin is converted to true color (but it doesnt look like it at all, it looks as if it were a 16bit bitmap), and the image outside of med looks fine.

How does it look when you bring it into your actual level?

Don't worry! MED uses 8bit, thats all.
Skin your model, place it in your level, build the level and play it. I think it should work.

Well, it looks worse in the level but that is probly because I have to run it in no D3D mode. so i dont think i can really tell how it will look on a computer with good graphics. (what are the requirements that your computer needs to be able to run a game in D3D?)

Just about any puter off the shelf today has a graphics card that is D3D capable. Hardware T&L (A6)?
Maybe not
