1st problem:

I had just reacently downloaded the A7 free trial and the WED tutorial.
Wile working on the tutorial I came across the part were I am to insert a camera build and run the lvl. When i hit build the little screen scrolls and then gives me the ok message. I then try to run it and all I get is a little wight screen with the words Installation damaged. Which means what?

2nd problem:

Although not really a problem more of a delema. I am planning to purchase GameStudio I just dont know which one to get. Commertial or Pro. I've read the info on there main site but I couldn't understand what make the Pro version $600 dollars more? or basicly what's so special whit Pro

Concerning problem 1 after testing alot of things I have figured out that i can compile lvls. but I can't run the lvl even if its as simple as a small box with the default texture. Does anyone know why this is happening?

As for problem 2 I read up on it more and only found these +'s to haveing Pro.

1. a file packer which compress all artwork into a tiny encripted resourse(dont exactly know what that means or does)

2.One year of support(I can see this to be worth some extra money)

3.renders huge lvls faster(Nice but how?)

Guess your GameStudio trial installation is damaged somehow. Never happend to me. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Anyways a complete list with differences in editions can be found here.

I did as D3D sugested and reinstalled A7. Right away went into WED created a box, hollowed it out, put the default texture on, placed a camera, clicked build(got the ok), then clicked run and every thing seemed to go ok but then got these messages

Malfunction W1301
ONE.WMB: Can't open file
OK Cancel
i hit OK

Error E110
ONE.WMB: Can't open level
OK

and i dont know if this will help but in the Run Level box under the Engine options it says P1.wmb-nx 30 one.wmb one.wmb one.wmb...
it shows that one.wmb over and over would that be doin it?

ok new information: I have system mechanic and I regualy run spyware and anivirus scans and I found out that every time I download A7 free trial there is a Look2Me spyware parisite(as classified by system mech) in A7 and when I removed it I tried to run my simple hollowed out cub with Default text and camera and now I'm back to square one because instead of getting the Error messages I have the initial problem of just getting a white little screen with the words Installisation damaged.

so am i downloading this wrong or what?

You may have corrupted system files so may need to reinstall things like DX, drivers etc or reformat to clear your system totally of viral harm.

Otherwise, its a bit of a mystery.
Some versions of System mechanic are heavily suseptible to viral contamination so I'd suggest you get free modern versions, there are a few about like Registry Easy, Advanced Windows Care PRO2 (both free) etc.

ok i downloaded the Registry Easy which then scaned my computer and found 1600 problems . And then to add on to my joy I found out that the scan was only the only thing free and if i wanted the 1600 problems fixed I needed to buy the full product .(that was just a little note to anyone else that inturprated the word free to mean completly free)

so them i tryed Advanced Windows Care Pro2 which detected and fixed 530 of the 1600 problems

I then tried to run a lvl again but got no where.

I now am planing to uninstall the again reinstall A7 trial and if from there it does not work again. I will just mess with the lite-c trial till i get the money for the full version of Regstry Easy and hopefully fix the 1100 problems remaning and retry using the A7 trial WED. And if then it still fails I still plan on ordering A7 Pro (they do send you a CD copy dont they?)
anyway and if i still have a problem i hope support can help and if not ill have to do the dreaded but enevatable reformat.

Dam, sorry about that, I must have scored those progs from 'Give-a-way-of-the-day'.

But consider a Backup proggy like Acronis, cheap and highly effective in that you can make a few backups of your OS in different stages (some with GStudio, free apps etc) and 1 with just the Windows componants so that if you ever need to reformat, 25 minutes of reapplying the backups, your good to go again.

Ok well I part way figured out why my WED doesn't run . And thats because System Mech's spyware was targeting the A7 SED exe file as a parisite. when I scaned it with Advanced windows care it didn't find anything wrong. But the new problem is that even though the Run feature is almost working after the little screen comes up and every thing looks like its gona go i get these Errors that I mentioned before
