I'm creating a game with great modding possibilities. Now I need to create some configuration files that a modder can modify (they contain info about object in the game).
Basic 3dgs functionalities about files are really limited. Do you know if there is any way to get other functions to load more complex configuration files (XML, INI files, JSON files, etc...).

A7 has done a pretty good job with this and George has done a good job of tampering in this field already (opening, taking and closing files for information). I suggest you look at the recent AUM's to start this. However if you are still new to this, I wouldn't suggest trying to make something easily mod-able, since you might have a better time if your working by yourself to do other activities which would be more productive and more rewarding.
