I have access to some pretty cool fullscreen rain/snow animations that (amazingly) look good with as few as 4 or 5 looped frames. The thing is, since they're fullscreen, a width of 1024 x 4 = 4096. Is this going to potentially cause older machines to crash? If a card has a d3d_texlimit of 1024, will it scale down the frames even though they're part of an animation?
