Hi
I finally have create the guts to ask this question.
I´ve been a while in this forums asking questions and stuff about normal/script/modelling stuff.
But i NEVER NEVER worked with shaders before. I do not have any idea of how it works. And for what i read about shaders i didnt get much of information.

So does anyone would have the kind soul of explaining me a bit about shaders and how to use them, or CAN I use them?

PS. I own A6 4.xx STANDARD

no, you can't, you need at least a6 commercial edition.

ok.. so there is no way to do it?
so i shouldnt bother trying to learn it at the moment until i get a A6 com?

you can use ffp shader with the standard verion...you can find some of them in the wiki (ofc there are not so cool effects as normalmapping..but things as alpha, texture blending or even enviromentmapping work)

If you want to test shaders or learn about them here is my idea.
I think you should try the trial version which is PRO by the way and it is available on the download page

and when you see how much the shader is beautiful you may start save some money to buy it in future.
No ... if that was your answer, I will suggest you to go to nVidia website and download FX Composer 2.0.3 which is dedicated for Shader creation and there is a shader library that is available online, or you can download the nVidia SDK 9.5 but to use the shaders that comes with it you should install FX Composer 1.8
NOTE: there is no problem installing multiple instance of FX Composer in the same machine.....

actually I have already saw screenshots with shaders and stuff, they look really awesome, i do really want to buy a commercial or pro edition in the future, the problem is that in the moment its impossible for me to afford it, so thats why im looking for alternative ways for it.(at least for normal mapping)

on the wiki are some ffp shaders and a little tutorial how 2 write them. And then you could look up the instructions for it in msdn...
