fbx model cuts #190201

Hi,

I import model from max in fbx format.
When import in med it looks proper.
But when i load that entity the some part cuts.
The model are parts of heart,
Why this happend ?
What should i do?

Please help

upload your fbx and your mdl files, so we can have a look at it and tell you what's wrong with it.

yes, i got it.

i don't have a7, only a6, i could open your fbx and mdl files, but not your level.

ok. your model does not have cuts, nor are the normals flipped, nor is it an alpha issue. the meshes are ok.
you said, "parts of the heart is cut". do you refer to ->this? the black lines?



that is because of your skin design.



you used Max' Render-To-Texture, i assume. it is a nice feature, but stops to render precisely on certain edges. that is where you see the black lines, MED's/Acknex's mipmapping and skinning process in not one-pixel-accurate. how to solve: if max allows it, render with a greater overdraw (if that's the right word, i mean render 2 or 3 px more on the borders than it is actually necessary), if not, choose a neutral background, not black, some kind of red/yellow would do for your heart i think.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Sorry my english is not good so i cant explain it properly before.

When i rotate heart at run time the front part of
heart becames transperent .
This is my problem.

Other problem is,
I made background in med for this heart interective.
Put 3 lites to give proper look of bg.
Because of light my heart model look like self illuminated.
How can i extrude model from wed ligth.

maybe you can post a screen shot of that "transparent" behaviour?

i did not understand your lighting issue though. if you have problems with a "self-illuminated looks", you can assign a material for your models either via script or with sliders in MED (edit->manage skins->skin settings->material options), i can see that you have no material set in MED.

PS: deutsch? francais?

In new layout i cant understand from where i attech.
I send simple exe of heart with on given link.
Please rotate heart and see the problem that i
want to tell u.
