I have a map entity that's improperly lit when I place it at "ground level". E.g., in a completely dark room that's a hollowed cube, at z=0 (which is the room's floor) map entities will appear to be somewhat lit. When I raise the piece above the floor, it's lit normally, (e.g., if the room's dark, the piece will also be dark).

Also, I have created a few map entities with textures of ambient=100/albedo=0. Unless I then set their in-game ambient to 100, they appear only half as bright as they should be.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what's going wrong? I tried a cursory forum search for permutations of 'map entity lighting' but came up with nothing. I'm using A5 Commercial.

Thanks,
Thomas

The entitys origin must be above the floor.
