Adventure In Pocia - Download!
Now that the contest is over, it is finally time to release Adventure in Pocia, or POC as it's more often called. Sadly it didn't place, or even get a mention in the contest, but it was a lot of fun to enter. For those that don't know or remember, POC is a point-n-click adventure style game. The star of the game is just your average stickman who happens to be lost in the jungle. After stumbling into a village for help, he finds himself caught up in the local crisis, and ultimately saving the village from its dispare. For those having trouble getting into the ruins, you need to place the coin onto the pillar outside the ruins. If you can't see the pillar, then you need to get the person in front of it to move.
Getting the person to move was no problem. The problem was clicking like mad on the statue until clicked on the correct spot. I did not realize at first that you had to click on the TOP section of the statue that is built for the coin. Since the entire upper portion of the statue glowed I assumed clicking anywhere on the statue would work. I was wrong .
I would, perhaps, make the glow only for the top area of the statue where the coin goes.

Heh, I hadn't noticed page 2, and missed your 2nd post. Thats the problem alright. I need to just swap out the base and make the whole pillar a model instead of just the top. That would clear up this problem. It's funny what can be so easily overlooked when you're the developer. I've gotten to the point where I can play through POC with my eyes closed. (Seriously, I've done it. )

Very Nicely done. If this didn't even make honorable mention, the contest winner's game must really be something! I might as well go program a payroll system or something. I'll never get anything to look this good!
