Legendary Sword (RPG): Public Beta / Demo
Hello! It is with great pleasure and nervous anticipation that I bring you the public Beta / Demo of Legendary Sword. This RPG was inspired by the classics of the past, but includes unique features and modern graphics. Although technically first-person, you control three characters as you explore dungeons, terrain, and cities. The game includes an intuitive inventory system, pathfinding AI, a tutorial, and interactive environments. Instead of going off on a marketing monologue, I will let the game speak for itself. Our goal is to make a game that you will enjoy. We are very interested in hearing your feedback, bugs reports, and suggestions!! Believe it or not, we are very open minded about making changes!! Please post comments at our forum: http://www.dreams-in-motion.com/forum/index.php?c=7&sid=68ab4db2ef71229d89a122e5faf78c56This demo was a major undertaking. I’d like to thank everyone who worked on it, and Dreams In Motion for making it all possible. I’d also like to thank the Game Studio forums. Without you, this game would never have happened. Get the demo here! >>> www.niolden.com <<< Here are some screen captures of the game. >>> Another new update available! <<< Greetings everyone!! Another update to the Legendary Sword Demo / Beta is available. We've listened to your feedback and made major updates to the control system. As stated earlier, the new system includes a Morrowind-like crosshair for picking up items, quick slots for accessing items, and improved 1st person combat. Arrow keys have also been implemented. As always, to download the patch, simply run "update" under the Legendary Sword program group in the Windows Start menu. (Start/Programs/Legendary Sword/Update) In the meantime, here's a few changes worth mentioning: - The right mouse button now acts as a toggle switch. If you've been playing the demo for a while, this will feel very strange. Give it some time and you'll get used to it.
- To pick something up, just click on it. It will go into your first available inventory slot.
- Use the number keys to equip weapons, spells, or potions. It's much faster than opening your inventory, although that still works.
- Using weapons is a lot easier. Just put them in your hand, then click on the left mouse button.
- To cast a healing spell, put it in your hand (either manually or by using quick keys), target a friendly player using the crosshairs, and press the left mouse button. It's much easier than before. All older methods of casting this spell still work.
- To cast Resurrection, place it in your hand, then using the crosshairs, target the floating "click zone" orb above the dead player and click the left mouse button.
All my efforts have been focused on updating the controls. Therefore, you won't see any improvement on the AI just yet. However, that's my next task, and I will do my very best to improve both the player and monster AI. Best Wishes, Bret Truchan Lead Programmer/Project Manager Legendary Sword

First off...great demo. It has a MMORPG kinda feel-(well with out the people anyways ). I dont know if this has been mentioned, but i noticed that after one of the characters died he eventually came back to life without using resurrect. I've tried to see if it would happen again, but have not been able to recreate the event. Just thought I'd let you know. Good job and keep up the good work. M3PHiSTO
