Hi!

SEED_IT grews up to version version 1.2.
The main changes are now it's gone to lite-c stable version.
There are some minor speed upgrades and internal script documentation upgrades.
The saved object-list is optimized.

SEED_IT ist nun in der neuen überarbeiteten Version 1.2 verfügbar.
Die hauptsächliche Änderung ist die Freigabe des lite-c Exporters.
Zusätzlich wurden einige Performanceanpassungen vorgenommen sowie die interne Script-Dokumentation angepasst.
Die Objektlisten wurden optimiert.

Once again, I must spread the word: SEED_IT is the best thing that can happen to you! It makes object placing a fun thing to do. As an example, you can create large vegetation maps in no time...

Hi Nowherebrain,

SEED_IT is not a dll - it's more a tool that generates c-script/lite-c (extendable) you include with just one line in your existing or new project.

You draw a seedmap and define with SEED_IT how the models should be placed (automatic) in your level.
And you can change many, many options of the placement with just a few mouse clicks whenever you like.

To your question: yes - with SEED_IT you can create an unlimited* number of seedings per level and you can seed on multiple terrains by just one seedmap (scale) or by many (scale&|shift).

Take a look at the SEED_IT online help to get an idea what SEED_IT can do for you.

so you can only have 3 different types of models per seedmap? if so, can you have more than one seedmap attached to a level?

You can have three types per seedmap (but each type can be a list of different models [e.g. green=grass=[grass1.mdl, grass2.mdl, weed.mdl, ...]]).
You can create one automatic attached seedmap with the wizard, but you can add unlimited seedmaps manualy (you need to understand/extend the generated coding).
