Softimage have announced XSI version 7, to be released this quarter.

The bad news is they've decided to discontinue their Foundation product which is ideal for lone developers like me. Although they're offering a big discount for existing Foundation users it seems like a real shame that potential new users will miss out and go elsewhere. I suppose there's always ModTool.
