1. I don't get it, it just looks like a bunch of models with reflection shader applied , please enlighten me wink

2. It's very dark in the images.

each pixel has traces( not c_trace, but using a shader-made trace) to pick out colors and geometry to make very accurate renderering.

i'm not sure if this is what lostclimate meant or not: the way rendering works normally is sufficiently accurate, but accurate reflections are almost impossible without using ray-tracing.

nice work Foxfire! if i were you i'd figure out a nicer way to mix the colours from each bounce (eg: green ball reflects the ground perfectly grey but the other walls with a green-tint).

or maybe show a better scene? like a teapot surrounded by other objects. so it better shows what you have to show

Definatley!
This is just what i have after working on this for 2 days. You will also notice that in the "room" scene, that walls aren't showing up in the reflections. My BBOX detection code is very slow and won't compile in a reasonable amount of time on my machine.

Also, I just through together the color/shading. I used a mix of PPL, radiosity, and phong shading which to me does not "make the shader." Ill play around with it some more.

ALSO, FEEL FREE TO HELP! I would be estatic to recieve any help whatsoever and I really appreciate your comments! My next step is to refine my code. My next goal is to achieve a 2 light, 4 sphere, 6 box rendering that will compile in a reasonable amount of time.

p.s. just google ray tracing if you don't know what it is. Its basicaly what lost and Julz said above.
