compiler crash when I update lights #234552

I've been getting the compiler to crash 4 times in a row when I chose the Update Lights option.

I can do a full build just fine.

Here's the compiler log:

WMP to WMB Compiler V7.30 (WMB6 BSP) [CPUs: 2]
Report mode: DEFAULT

Initializing Map ...

Updating 9 Objects ...
ok
Placing 9 Objects ... ok

And that is where it crashes.

Like I said, I can do a full BSP build or chose the Default Build fine, but when I'm working on fine-tuning ambient lighting, that's inefficient as it takes more time.

And it doesn't work if I bring the lighting calculations down to "Low Quality" either.

And on a somewhat related note, I noticed that my shadows are different today than they were yesterday. At RGB(3,3,3) I could see well (which was odd since 3,3,3 is, for all practical purposes, black) and when I compiled today, it was black. (trying to go for a night scene, but I don't want pitch black shadows). I know this isn't a case of me forgetting to compile because I've been fooling around with ambiance for a while.

The only warning I get, is Duplicate Planes, but I only get that when I do a full BSP build.

Could you be more specific? I've looked through the bugs and haven't seen anything that could help me with the Update Lights option causing the compiler to crash.

Also, lightmapping seems abnormally slow for some reason.

My level has 4 or five lights and it takes 5-6 minutes and the level isn't very big.

I have a test level to view models and such. 5-6 minutes and its just a hollow box with some models and no lights.
