I'm trying to use Fbx import in WED and receiving very strange results. I created simple level in Maya with simple mapping and textures. Then I exported this level into fbx file (2006). Problems started to appear when I tried to import level in Wed using fbx import.
1. sometimes not all polygons are visible 2. sometimes it seems like uv coords are messed and textures stretched like hell
I searched forums and found two or three mentions about this problem but no solution. What should I do to model complete level in Maya and then bring it to WED without such problems?
I don't use Maya. But there are a few things to care of in general. Your shot shows a bad geometry problem from what i can see. Have you triangulated the mesh before exporting? Could also be a hole at that area. Not closed geometry. For the stretched texture issue, i think there was an issue with texture repeatings. Repeated textures arrives with UV repeating of 1. Have you tried to set the UV repeating to 1 and scale the UV space bigger instead?
