It runs similar here compared to Kiyaku's info. But I consider Unigine a weak engine. It is just too slow. Did you try the free camera mode? Even when fps is over 35 fps it is very jerky.
Compare this to Crysis or similar but much bigger games with animated stuff, AI and physics. Unigine is too expensive and too slow.
The shadows are heavily flickering.
By the way. I tried both DX 10 and DX 9. DX 9 was a bit faster.

in my test shadows were not flickering and camera was very smooth.
it's true that when you add physics, AI and other stuff it will go even slower but i believe that those models and island are very high poly models. and that in games you wont use so many polygons, at least i wont.
it looks like a good engine to me but i'd like to see it in some interactive example like some small game.
btw, try testing with AA off

I did not switch AA on. I am running on Vista 64 with lots of memory and Core 2 duo. But on my old machine it was the same behaviour. The shadows do not flicker very much, but they do, similar like in TombRaider Underworld.
Camera is smooth in demo mode, but not in free camera mode.
The models are not high-poly. The renderer is not optimized and scene management is weak, especially when you are in the middle of an island.

i'm not finding excuses for them i just thought that camera isn't smooth to because of AA, like me. And when i turned off AA it was smooth. but i didnt see that shadow flickering till you told about that. i havent tried free camera before but now i did and you're right.

Hi Guys Thanks for all the information, think I need a new machine Its runs at 0-3 FPS in Direct 9 (don't have DX10) on: GeForce 6600 GT 2.67 GHz Intel Core2 Duo 2GB RAM I know its a old machine; was going to get a new PC for Xmas but decided to wait a bit. Was going to get: Intel Core i7-920 (2.66GHz, 8MB cache) ATI Radeon HD4870X2 2048MB 3 GB of Ram Yes for the money I think the engine is overpriced and slow! I liked the engine's options so ran the demo and could not believe it runs at 0-5 FPS Unity runs faster than that! Not 100% same island demo, but Unity looks good
