Is it possible to code reflective bumpmapping? like on halo, the bumpped map
earth on direct x, etc? I don't like the emboss bumpmapping, i like it
if it were reflective also so it would look really bumpy

Sure its possible, just about anything is. (With in reason) But I suppose it would be a bit painful on the graphics card. The thing is with bump mapping is its only just changing lighting (not actually making the surface "bumpy"). With that you would actually have to emboss the model. But yes it is certainly possible.
