http://testdummy93.tripod.com/3DGS/3DGS_index.html at the bottom of the page you should be able to work it from there, make the camera look from the side prevent them from moving side ways etc and from there make a pretty close game as tekken, i would think. dummy mdl files follows, easily changable. see if you get it to work
