Hi,

I've got two light (dummy)-models in my level.

If I walk with my player through the room the stencil shadows
of the player are calculated by the light my player is nearest to.

Is it possible to deactivate this for one of the lights so that the shadows are only calculated from one of the lights?

I thought that I would have to set CAST to the lights if I would like them to throw shadows, but none of the lights have set CAST, but they both throw shadows for my player model.
I also added "reset(my,CAST);" to one of the lights, but no change at all.

Can somebody help?

Regards,
Pegamode.

PS ... sorry, I posted this in the wrong forum (shouldn't be Lite-C Contributions) ... maybe a moderator can move it?

Moved.

But youre right, light entities without CAST dont throw shadows, at least they should not. Maybe, the shadow is not thrown from the entity but from the sun?

Hi Spirit.

I checked if the shadow is cast by the sun, but it seems still to be entity without cast-flag.

I'll try to make a "mini-level" for download.

Pegamode.

I made a little demo level to show what I mean:

shadow-issue.zip

Don't be confused by some baked shadows in the texture of the room-model, but you can see the stencil shadow of the car although the light emitting model has no cast flag set.

Is this a bug in GS or is there an error in my code?

Can someone have a look?

Regards,
Pegamode

I believe this is a bug in GS.

The bug was confirmed and should be fixed with the next update.

By the way ... all A7 version are affected.

Pegamode
