Hi everyone, I hope if you can help me.

I am at the moment using the c lite trail version. I try to insert a MDL model through object/load entities...

when I build and run the level, I cannot see the MDL model at all!

I can see the sprites I insert using object/load entities though....

Do I miss some steps??? Please help!

Jim

I am really just beginning to learn and following the tutorial to build a level. I haven't written any code yet.

I thought you could just insert a MDL model from WED and run the level, and the model should be there?

O rite, yes your question wasn't clear.

Yes just add the model in using WED (and model, or might be object) if you can't see it, when running press F11 twice and you should see its bounding box, if not then it isn't in the level if so then it is invisible either because it is untextured or because its alpha is set to 0

thanks for the reply. you guys are really helpful smile

I just figured out what went wrong! It was the texture of the model. For whatever reason, it doesnt work with JPEG. when I changed all the textures of PCX, it worked! thanks a lot

However, I notice there is no interaction between the MDL models with the light I put in the level. Is it normal?

it is just the light object I inserted through WED. Is there a better way to create light so that it can interact with the MDL models?
