Hi everyone - New gamestudio user (A7 Trial) here as of a few days ago. Mostly good experiences so far, but I'm having continuous problems when using models from 3DS. My current problem occurs when I import a UVW unwrapped and textured model from 3DS -> .3DS -> MED -> WED. The texture appears to flicker when moving around and looking at it when I am running the level.

Any solutions?

Hi, I just have one skin on the model. It displays perfectly in MED, and the texture appears in the skin editor.

Edit: Actually, I notice now that the skin is appearing in the skin editor, but on the model preview in the skin editor it is white.

I keep running into these weird graphical errors all the time!

Here's a screenshot of some other texturing bug I am getting all of a sudden (This wasnt an imported model, this was just a cube which I resized):


Hah Nevermind! - I fixed this by setting the "Concave" flag.

It seems I have fixed my original problem too, apparently, even though the .mdl supposedly had a material, when imported into WED, the material was set to "ndef"... I changed the material to something else and the visual glitches disappeared. Why wasn't the material saved along with the model?
