I saw how it is realized in the game drakensang. This is very nice. Developers Drakensang obviously not stupid. Why do you all do not want to use SpeedTree?

SpeedTree is for procedurally generating large forests in realtime. they have wind data, normal mapping and diffuse mapping with alpha channels. They have a very large library of like 2000 plants and trees. So if you intend to create a large forest or jungle then it would it would be useful. My game that I am working on needs some lush areas but I do not have the 10,000 USD to plop down on a license. So therefore I will use either loopix or trees we create ourselves. Its a cool package but I dont think its worth 10k. GS out.

You seem a bit stupid though. I'll repeat it for you:

If you want to use SpeedTree in 3DGS you NEED TO WRITE YOUR _OWN_ WRAPPER FOR THE SPEEDTREE LIBRARIES ( = DLL FILES ). If you cannot, HIRE SOMEONE WHO CAN.

@Mmike.. If you can do that then you will defeat the purpose of having speedtree. I am almost certain you cannot save an spt file to an obj or max file. I may be wrong but then its not an spt file anymore so therefore useless with their code. GS out.

Oh right.. i almost forgot. Gamesaint. In fact, Speedstree usually wont allow any type of export only spt. What i can do is export to a obj or max file, with a mesh function trick. but you lost the ability to change each internal data. you can simulate wind, exporting animation mdl..
