Hi !

I've got some questions about the engine SDK.
I found the following in the folder "sdk_engine" :

"You can also program A6 applications with lower editions, but under an Open Source license only. That means that for distributing the engine module acknex.dll you have to provide a machine readable copy of the complete product source code along with the product."

Is this restriction lifted if i buy the "Gamestudio SDK license" ? And if this is the case, with which editions (commercial) of A7 can i use this license ?

Another questions raises from the following citation of "readme_engine.txt" : "You are not allowed to use the SDK for creating products that can be used to create applications, like 'wrappers' for the library, or game development tools." - Does that mean, that as long as i build my own acknex.dll ("You are not allowed to distibute any part of the SDK. The acknex.dll distributed with your product must be created with WED; the acknex.dll in the GameStudio folder can be used for development, but can not be distributed.") and no the acknex.dll used for developement - everything is fine, or are there special requirements for the code ??

And my last question is, If i buy the "Gamestudio SDK license", am i only allowed to use it with A7 or also with acknex versions yet to come, like A8 or A9 ?

Cheers,
Matthias

Yes, the restriction is lifted when you either own Pro or buy the SDK license. BTW, the readme text mentions A6, but is of course likewise valid for A7.

The wrapper restriction means that you must not use the SDK for creating a product that allows your users to create Gamestudio games on their own. Otherwise you're fine.

The current SDK license is valid during your lifetime. It also covers A8, A9, etc.
