Every face seems to be separated.
Make a backup of the model, then select all vertices and hit the "merge" button in MED. I bet it will solve your problem.

Ok, i seems to understand what if mesh have face separation then ent_status(ENTITY*, 1) return different vertex number what show MED, but I never understood why they are needed, although this is not important.
(Solved)I have another problem, how i can get total number of meshes or groups in model?

I think in the wiki is a documentation of the .mdl format. So it should be possible to read this out from the .mdl file.

You probably right, i just try understand how works meshes in DirectX, maybe md7 documentation will help me. cool
ps: i already do some manipulation with mesh, that can i say its fun
