Hi, Im new to all of this and i've been working with Lite-C some. I really would like to get gamestudio, but i dont know which version to chose. I think I want Commercial, but im not sure. I would like to create large games, with many options and all, but I also dont want to go in too far over my head. Plus i cant afford much more than the $199 for Commercial. Should i stick with commercial?
Sorry, im new. I have a tendency to ask really simple questions, so please be patient.

I think so. The extra money to go up to pro doesnt gain you much, not that cant be achieved with work-around programming, or third-party plug-ins.
Commercial gets you the "important" stuff, like WED, shaders and physics. WED is pretty damn critical, shaders extremely critical. Yes, the physics is rather weak, but it gived you the basics easily, but can be replaced with the newton physics plugin for heavy, realistic physics simulations.
The only things you are losing, IMHO, is The file-packer to create resource files : apparently replacable with a plugin I havent tried yet. LOD management : a little extra (quite simple) programming on your own can replicate this nicely. Unlimited multiplayers : Commercial comes with limit of 8, but 'Anet' is available for real networking. Startup logo : irritating little popup window when your executable starts. Minor.
This is my opinion, and why I went for commercial over other versions. (If I had the money I would have gone pro. Maybe after my first sucessful game eh?)

thanks for your help! By the way, about the plug-ins, how do you get them, and how do you use them?

Just hunt through the forums, its all here...somewhere. Check "Lite-C Contributions", "User Contributions", and "Third-Party Tools" And how to use them is with them. I havent actually used any of them myself.

hey, in Gamestudio (Commercial) how hard is it to make a basic game? Because i havnt really tried to make a game yet, and i was curious if i was in under my head with this. And also, would you say it is worth the money?

Easy enough. It all depends on how "basic" is "basic"? Ive not tried anything simple cause Im just like that. I always throw myself in at the deep end of the pool ... with weights tied to my feet. Its just the way I am.
But try looking at the "Contests" forum and look at some of the work achieved down there. Pretty cool stuff from "noobies" to show you its not that hard...
