Can some one please tell me why i have no textures to my models after build and during a walkthough
I created a MD2 house model using 24bit BMP texture in MED then added to WED
Im using A6 extra

Hi,

this could happen if you forget to compile after adding something.
Or if you used the option "update entities" during map build.

Check if "Build Level" is selected if you compile your map.

Hi Slacer Thanks for the reply

I do have build checked and i compile after each addition to the level i even tried saving it then reopen and compile and run still the same thing

I was wondering if in MED the size of the skin would do it mine is 148x434x16

did you make the models in mew or in wed,
cuz if done in MED you need to put them in the map parent directory
(I.E C:\Program Files\GStudio6\test\*.mdl

otherwise i wouldn't know

Do you use the same textures on all buildings - including the visible buildings?

If so, there should be no problem with the textures.
But you should try to make the textures in sizes like
128x128
256x256
512x512
1024x1024

These values will help your hardware for texture mapping.
Strange values may result in strange behaviour.

just test it out.

Ok, here we go...
I created a new texture with your given size.
Texturemanager-> add folder

There were 3 textures within that folder - but the new one is not shown in my new wad...

So - try to change the size of the given texture.

Excuse my bad english...

I was working from a different directory and saving all my info there
I tried what you said and sure enough that was it all my models work now
