1. Depends on the situation. (If I'm in a hurry, looking for something specific, etc...)
2. Depends on the situation. (If I'm replying to the thread subject, the last post, etc...)

1. i read the first, if interesting i read the rest. if the rest is too long i read the last few posts (i have only 70 years to live yet)
2. normally i reply to the last post. but if there is a particular post i want to reply, i quote the post and post my question/comment/remark
3. i use it only for adding images and quoting text

same as Tempelbauer, except i sometimes use UBBcodes for styling.

From the way I see it, people that don't read entire threads at all will either reply to the last couple of posts or only the topic. People that read all posts tend to reply to specific comments and (usually) the topic too.

What I'm wondering though, why does posting behavior matter to you? Do you plan on showing only parts of a thread?

@PHeMoX: I do indeed. I was thinking about showing only the first and last few posts in a thread. Rather than having multiple pages, the user would be able to load additional posts by clicking links or buttons. A bit like Facebook does it for the comments. You see the original post and the last 3 or so replies.

When writing a reply would you like to... single choice
	... see replies that were added to the topic while you were writing on your own reply automatically?
	... see an indicator that there are new replies and an option to view them?
