Hi,

I have (hopefully) a small problem skining a model in MED.
Im not sure if Im doing it wrong or is MED not working as it should.

I select couple of Polygons from a model then click on create 6 sided mapping and they appear in Skin editor, i set them over the texture and everything is fine.
Now I select some other polygons and then click on create 6 sided mapping again but they dont appear in skin editor and I cant texture them.
Do I have to select whole model and then click on create 6 sided mapping to texture them all at once or should my approach with texturing only selected polys work?

I have seen tutorial on skkining in MED like this and the guy did it as Im trying to do it now, but it was with some older version of MED that had "Create MD2 mapping" and "Create MDL mapping" in it (this one doesnt have that laugh )

im using A6.60 with 6.846 MED version.

It should work as you expected.
Maybe, it creates a new skin, but it shouldn't.
You can test that, when you switch to fullscreen and look for the upper right buttons in the Skin Editor for switching skins or groups.

Another thought: maybe, you chose polygons that are at the backside of the chosen 'uv-side'.

Nope didnt texture wrong side, both areas are top polygons.
I select one part of upper area and hit create 6 sided mapping "Top". This works fine, polys are textured.
Then slect another area of same level/oreientation and repeat click on create 6 sided mapping "Top".

The other selection never appears in skin editor...

Just tested it with MED version 6.901 or so, no problem, everything is mapping.

frown

Any chance you post it on youtube some somewhere to see how exactly ur doing it?
Could it be that my version is screwd up?

PS. Your MED is from A7 not from 6.60?

Maybe, but I have the old versions installed as well.
When you tell me which version you use then I can try that version on my pc, and tell you the result. MED version number is under Help --> About...
