I was experimenting with some level designing in WED and the compiling took 104 seconds in BSP Map build and only 6 seconds on simple map build. So is it better to use simple map build?
Also in the manuals all the error and limitation cautions are related to blocks and BSP. So, I'm thinking I shouldn't use blocks and BSP altogether if they are not that versatile at all.
If BSP has no advantages over simple, then why was it implemented? It makes things unnecessarily complicated with restrictions here and there. If there is a major advantage, could someone enlighten me? ^^
A BSP tree is for professional users when they need very fast rendering of large indoor levels with many entities. You need not care about it, just use Simple mode.
I should have done more research on my own before starting this thread. Just thought I'll get some opinion as it regards to BSP in 3dgs than BSP in general.
