OK, here's the thing: I intend to make a game which involves duels of players connected to a central server. People would fid other people to battle with by joining a room, and then they go on playing togheter. Now my question is: is it possible? I mean... in multiplayer games, all entities are always positioned togherer with the others existent, as if all players were in the same "world". How can I then, have... for an example, a map called "Arena 01" and another called "Arena 02", and there would be like, 3 matches being played in each of these arenas, INDEPENDENTLY. It would be as if there were several "games" running, with the participants of one game having nothing to do with the other.

Is it possible?

Best bet would probably to go the lines of Blizzard's Battle Net. You would need to have a bit of a go between program that actually handles the launching of games and storing of info - but each game is hosted on a players computer, not a central server. It should be doable with 3DGS.

Yes, exactly, I want to do something like Battle.net. But I stumbled on this issue... how to "launch a game" with 3DGS? The engine seems to handle multiplayer gaming by positioning each player on the same "world". How is possible then to have these several "games" that run apart from each other?

Treat each "game" like a different "level" or series of "levels". Wouldn't that work?
