hope this is the right place to post this. I just purchased
a7.80 professional edition. I haven't been able to use it really because whenever I open WED and try to either load
a level or start a new level, the program crashes. windows
displays the typical "WED has stopped working". I didn't have a problem when using the trial version. my video driver is up to date. when trying to check for solutions online through windows it cannot find any answers. this is the report windows
gave me,

When the trial version worked, I suspect first that the installation is damaged due to a broken download. Download and install it again from our download page. You can just install it in the same folder as the previous version. If there is a wed.cfg file in your Gamestudio folder, delete it.

If that does not help, please contact Gamestudio Support and send them the crash information. It's in the files wed.log and wed.txt in your Gamestudio folder when WED crashes.

didn't work completely. I downloaded the installer from the main download page
and re-did everything. I still can't start a new level, however I was able
to load one from the downloads site. however whenever trying to save or compile
the level, it crashes in the same way before t can get to the screen. something
else I noticed is that before I added my key file to the folder, I ran WED
and it didn't give any messages about it being a 30 day trial. I have also sent
a report to customer service. However if any more ideas or possble solutions
can be obtained here it would be great.

p.s. the wed.txt file was empty when I checked it after and there was no .log file

When the wed.txt file was empty, the program didn't execute at all. This means something damaged your Gamestudio installation. Please contact Support, they'll walk you through a list of measures for such cases. Also, run a thorough virus test on your bPC.
