I have a level made up mostly of models. The sun casts light on it from whatever combination of elevation and azimuth happens to be set in the map properties, causing the nearest side of the models to be brighter than other sides.

Unfortunately this isn't working for me and I need to get rid of the sunlight altogether. I tried setting it's rgb to all zeroes, but the sun STILL casts!!!! I tried changing the ambient as well, but no matter what I do the sun still casts from whatever direction its in.

I want to light my level with static lights ONLY and get rid of the sun because it is messing up my models (especially at 90 elevation, it completely washes out the texture of my sidewalks).

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks.

Manual:
Code:
MATERIAL* mtl_nosun ={  ambient_blue = 100;  ambient_green = 100;  ambient_red = 100;  albedo = -100;}

Albedo = -100 => no sun light reflection.

Thank you very much! That worked quite well.

Strangely though my model showed up darker than it should have (the white textures were gray). I set the rgb ambients to 130 and that seemed to bring the texture brightness up to normal. Do you think there's anything in the map properties or build settings that could affect the model textures this way even though albedo is turned off in my script?

I think the rgb settings at 128 each are default so you are able to make your objects darker.
