Physics is movement and collision.

Like RL physics, the 3DGS Physics Engine (PE) takes over all movement and collision control for a registered entity.
It does this by applications of Forces and uses momentum and energy conservation.

It would take too long to describe.

In a nutshell, do a search engine query under "physics" to get the technical knowledge and learn a little RL physics.

Only then, search the forums under "physics" and you'll get insight into 3DGS implementation.

Put em together and you're set!

hallo, ik ben ook nederlands en ik kan je uitleggen wat physics is. natuurkunde: in gamestudio is dat vooral zwaartekracht, botsingen met andere physics entitys enz. je kunt bijv het gewicht van een physics ent instellen en de engine berekend dan hoe dat effect heeft op zijn bewegingen.

btw ik heb nog nooit physics gebruikt, maar dit is wat ik ervan weet.

Hey hey hey, wat zie ik hier, toch nog meer nederlanders hahaha...

Zoals al werd gezegt zijn physics inderdaad de natuurkundige effecten op de 'entities' uit je game... Om een voorbeeld te noemen; het realistisch wegslippen van een auto bijvoorbeeld is mogelijk door physics....
In de plaats van bv. overal maar in de berm en op de weg te rijden zonder er last van te hebben...Ik raad je aan om alle ins en outs ervan te bestuderen wat het maakt je spellen een heel erg stuk realistischer en meer professioneel dus..

Btw @ wheelchairninja; you say you haven't used any physics at all?? It seems to me that that is quite impossible, but you probably mean using the physics engine, right? Because a single (controllable) moving actor, would require some simplified physics...
Well to the topic, take a look at www.physicsengine.com too, a very good physicsengine plug-inn specially made for use with 3DGS .....

No clue what anyone said but i'll answer in an exmple in english.

In a shooter game if you apply physics to a box,ball,candel,tv,car,etc. That object when shot will bonse for move on the bullet impact. If you are poor or don't want to pay for the best 3DGS becuse of RazorAI(like me) you can get a free physics engine from physicsengine.com. (Newton)
