ok, this will put the cats amonst the pidgeons.

I've been looking at other game engines - Visual3D, Torque, Unity and Game creators (now partnered with Visual C++)

Some of these have some nice features, like;

(1) Iphone, Ipod, Wii game publishing
(2) Creating Terrain (height map) from loading Maps (google / military topographical maps)
(3) tools to create roads in terrain.

Are these being considered for A7?

PS, this forums editor is very unfriendly to use once the post gets beyond a screen full of lines! jumping up and down, and i cannot read what I'm writing .. hope it makes sense?

1) I don't think there are any future plans to port the engine to a different platform.

2) The good thing about GameStudio is that you can add your own functionality. Generating a height map from a bitmap (at runtime) would just be about parsing pixels from a bitmap, and turning them into height coordinates. I don't really have experience with this so maybe someone else can help, lol.

3) There are a couple of tools floating about, eg Icex editor. I'm actually working on one at the moment.

You use Google Chrome? You know that Google knows everything about you when using this browser? Every homepage you click at (even when you`re thining that nobody is watching you...), every entry you make in your browser? I don`t understand people giving away all their data to Google by free will for getting no advantages comparing to other browsers like Fiefox or Opera. Thank goodness there are not so many people supporting this development.

did you know porn sites know when and what you click via tracking cookies? they even know what type of pron you like.

if you are using the internet you cannot wory about such things just accept it and know there is no good on fighiting against them, internet is not a safe place and wont be a safe place. also i would pretty much like to give my info to google instead of microsoft.

--------

do you believe all that sh*t you heard? chrome is open source go check the source code. google sends nothing back to themselves.
