can it be done with c script? example: you are next to a corner and want to look into the hallway to the right, so you hit E and your view/character bends that direction to "peek" down the hallway

can it be done? if so care to help me to get started on it?

im currently experimenting with c script to see how many movement commands i can give to the player, (run, jump, etc) can someone also help guide me in the right direction to coding a jump function in?

i should also include that this is a first person shooter game.

(if this is in the wrong forum im sorry. everywhere i post a topic someone seems to tell me its the wrong forum for the question...)

i should ask why your using the c-script, it really limits the amount of help you'll receive, i for one may know how to help you with those problems in liteC but not c-script

well i heard it was better, idk, im having a problem telling what the difference is anyways smirk care to tell me?

like what is the difference, which is better and can you use c script code in a script thats mainly lite c? wow so many questions smirk

Agreed.
You better work on lite-c. C-script are no longer used.
If you still want to use C-script be sure that someday you have to move to lite-c and translate all your code to lite-c (such a boring thing)
Anyway,You should change camera.roll + move you camera a bit to achieve that.

the only reason i ask is because i cant find much on it in the manual.

also about converting to lite c, would my version of gamestudio make certain things obsolete? i dont have 7.82.

and the best thing is, there is a free version as well!
also, making the camera roll a bit inwards/outwards should indeed be the best solution.

Modify camera roll and use vec_set, vec_add, and vec_rotate to move the camera along the player's orientation.
