i got a prob regarding my project. before this, i was able to delete the entity. but after i reposition the camera angle also the terrain, i wasnt able to delete my item. but i still can place my entity onto the terrain. why is this happening?

what is the relationship between camera viewing that cause this problem? is it because of the origin?

i guess i solved regarding the camera viewing.

can anyone help me for this code?

void total(){
while(str_cmp){
if(str_cmp(coffee,"coffee_table.mdl") == 1){
var_total += 280;
}
if(str_cmp(chair,"chair.mdl") == 1){
var_total += 130;
}
wait(1);
}
}

it couldnt recognize the entity and when i click chair for example, the total wouldnt came out 130, but 280. same as if i click coffee_table, it would came about the same; 280. and if i click again for the same entity it would add up 280 and make it 560 even i click for chair(that is only 130).

can anyone help me pelis?

Try placing this part in the while

if(str_cmp(chair,"chair.mdl") == 1){
var_total += 130;
}
wait(1);

ottawa, thanks.. i wrote like this :

Hi yunn!

All your evaluations ssssssss of the situation
must be in the while loop.

This way they all get evaluated many times.

Now the coffee table is evaluated once and then
the chair is evaluated many times.
Since the while does not stop it never comes
back to the coffee...(joke..so all you get is a sip of coffee and then many chairs.)

Also the wait (1); must be in the while loop to avoid an endless loop.

How about getting rid of all those while loops and using

switch(blah)
{
case chairs:
calculation stuff here;
break;

case tables:
calculation stuff here;
break;
}

If you get my meaning.

Go back to the first posts and read
the posts of Foxhound and then MrGuest. Those are probably your next steps.

Nidhogg's point is very good. It would simplify the process.

Since each entity has a set of 100 skills it's a cool way of keeping track
of prices for each item.
