Hi all,
I've only really started 3DGS over the last month and I've been working through the lite-c tutorials. Finishing those, I've been modifying the wizard shooter in tutorial 24 in order to gain a better understanding.
I exchanged the spell sprite for one of my own, a tga file that resembles a blaster bolt from star wars. Initially when I fired, it would be facing upright. I modified this with the appropriate my.roll and my.tilt. It is now facing in the correct position, however it looks very
flat. This pic shows the flat effect, and the sprite itself (minus the transparency)
How would I get it looking "real" and not like a cutout? If I use a normal sprite that faces me all the time, its going to just look like a rediculous line flying everywhere, but if I use oriented like I am, it looks flat. How do you guys do it?
Edit: I know this has probably been asked before, but I've been having no luck with the search
