Hi there,

I've created and exported a human model from MakeHuman into blender, textured it there and did some additional modeling work, then exported it with FBX to MED, keeping the bones in place. So far, so good, bones are still there in MED and fully functional, too.

However, for some weird reason, the vertex-mapping for the bones seem to "overlap": almost every vertex belongs to 2 or more bones. Normally, this would not even be possible in MED (I tried to do so on purpose to test it), but when importing this model, it will always happen, causing the model to look terrible when the bones are being moved (as if some vertices were not assigned at all, but in fact they are assigned to multiple bones - the effect looks similar). The question is: how would you fix this? Since the model does have a decent vertex count and a rather big number of bones, correcting the mistake for every bone one by one, vertex by vertex, would literally take *hours*. Any suggestions what to do?

Greets,

Alan
