Hi all,

I've been recently working on my first serious project with 3DGS, FutureLympics. All is working well apart from the fact that my terrain doesn't show up right on some machines. I previously thought it might have just been older machines with limited shader support but I was corrected when my brother's relatively new PC presented me with the same problem. The terrain uses the built-in mtl_terraintex material, which works great for what I need it for, but only seems to show up correctly on certain machines. The two PC's on which it has worked correctly both have Nvidia cards, but I've no idea if that's anything to do with it.




This is how the terrain should look, with the path and petals, taken on my laptop with a Geforce Go 7950 video card




This is the exact same scene on my brother's PC, sporting a much newer Ati Radeon HD 4850. It is as if the material isn't there, apart from the ambient and diffuse settings looking more or less right.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
