I've built a level thats pretty big (last render that worked took about five hours) but now after adding significatly to the level, it won't build. There aren't any errors, but the build doesn't get any further than tesselate. Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

If you set the tesselation lower than say "80", there will be some major slowdowns. The smaller the number the longer it will take. I use "80" because the last version of the map compiler seemed to have some kind of bug that prevented building if you used 80 or below. 81 would build fairly quickly and then it just stopped at 80. I think this is no longer the case with the current version. Your framerates will shrivel up with very low tesselation, but the dynamic lights sure look perrty.

Thanks for the response.

I've been fooling around with the level that I was trying to buil. When I delete geometry thats somewhat far away from the center of the map, I can build just fine. I've tried increasing the maximum level size option but that doesn't do anything.

I set my tesselation to somewhere in the 40s and it completed the process but wouldn't complete the build. It acted like it was stuck at the end of tesselation even though it had completed the calculations(the counter was 0 for 20 minutes and it wouldn't budge).

Make sure when you build that you have the visibility calculations slider set to off. If it's on you'll get a final build which takes a lot longer(hours and days as opposed to seconds or minutes).
