Hey guys, now, i downloaded A8 just the other day, because ive become frustrated with my work ethic in flash, and decided i needed another hobby to fall back on when im bored, and dont feel like dealing with a 2300 lined piece of code game engine, that has this on error i just cannot find! And ive always wanted to learn another, C-like programming language. but back to the question

Whenever i run the example....small....from SED, it says i dont have directX 9 or later, which i do, but now i think it is because i am running this on windows 7, but when i run it on my desktop i get a directX driver error message? Any ideas?

I run it on Windows 7 without any problem, maybe you haven't installed you graphics card drivers

they came preinstalled

Anyway If I were you I would go to my graphic's card wepbpage and download the latest drivers

yes but what confuses me is, it does not work on my desktop either (which is completely up to date on every driver available for it)

what messages you exactly get?

get directx9.0c and install that regardless.
If that does not work, like Quadraxas posted, please tell us the exact error, and we might be able to help you further with the issue.
Also, what always helps too is to post specific specs of your computer.

I'm running win7 too, and A8 and A7 and A6 all work here without any problem

First: limit the variables.

Download one of the demos here A7 or A8, to see if the
engine starts.
If it woeks, there is a problem with the compilation/run
If it does not work, there is a general problem to
run the engine.
