When running a map in A8 free version, it builds just fine but on running, I get the following errors: Error E2005 Can't create DirectX texture followed by: Malfunction W1246 DirectX driver failure: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL The "game" window then loads as a blank blue field. I am running DirectX 9, video in onboad 32 meg, S3 Graphics ProSavage DDR. Is it an issue with directX or the video device? Or both? I played around a few years ago with Gamestudio a few years ago and was able to run the A5 demo just fine on a system with half the graphics capabilities as this currant machine.

wait....in the presets list, it does list the script as "include" Never mind, now I reaslly feel dumb, I just realized you gave me a line to INCLUDE in the script, not asking if it was "include". sorry. Include is the path of the script (which doesn't exist yet)

OMFG! I Installed DX 9.0c and I'm STILL getting the same error message. In fact, in the view options/vidoe out settings, 9.0c doesn't even show up as an option, still the same 3 that were there before, (8a, 9a and 9b) I even did some digging and found the necessary script to add that line to....it was already added though so that isn't the issue either. Ok...I am really stuck and am on a fast track to walking away from this software and looking at other options....someone please help me figure out whats going on.

You can make a test-run with the comandlineoption -w3d run the level and write in the line "Engine options" after -nx 30 -w3d and click OK. its the Weak-Modus for older or incompatible videocards.
