Hey all I am a newbe to texture mapping and shading, i need to texture a big terrain using different textures (by the way im using a6 pro),any ways if any one can show me how to start that will be great, please some one help me with this , thank you.

There have been methods posted on this before, one is having it set so the textures shown are based on a 8-bit color map, every color would have a texture assigned and it would blend them where the colors meet. Sorry, I'm not shader expert, just tring to give you the basic idea.

I suggest making one big terrain and splitting it off into seperate pieces and saving them individualling there (with the various textured applied to each). Thanks.
