As the title says I am wondering if it is possible to have bones in a model along with a vertex animation. The bones don't use any animation frames but they are used to control the model and attached to vertices.

In the model is also a set of vertex animation frames. However those frames don't seem to work if a bone is in the model. If I delete all bones the vertex animation frames work.

I know I am answering my own question but I am just wondering if anyone has used bones and a vertex animation successfully in the same model.
